There are many ways to get involved in BTBR. We need folks to help us with transportation of dogs, fostering, administrative work, event organization, grant writing and fundraising. Please let us know what area(s) you are interested in.
We will check if your pet is spayed/neutered, up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccines, annual heartworm test and flea/tick prevention. Please list your veterinarian's name, address, PHONE NUMBER and your pet(s) names. If your pet is listed under someone else's name, what name? If your pet has seen multiple vets, list the one who has the information above. If you currently don't have a pet but have had one within the last 5 years, list the vet you've used in the past.*

By agreeing and signing this document, VOLUNTEER certifies that all information contained in this document is true and complete. VOLUNTEER understands and agrees to abide by the following conditions and restrictions in order to serve as a volunteer for BLACK TIE BOSTON RESCUE (BTBR). VOLUNTEER recognizes that working with animals places them at physical risk, and agrees to assume that risk. Although BTBR has taken all reasonable measures to protect VOLUNTEER, accidents and injuries may still occur. VOLUNTEER acknowledges that BTBR does not guarantee the health or temperament of any BTBR foster dog. VOLUNTEER agrees to perform duties of a BTBR VOLUNTEER at own risk, and to fully and completely indemnify and hold harmless BTBR, its agents, officers, directors, representatives, and other volunteers from and against any and all loss, damage, injury, or expenses arising from or relating to the health and/or behavior issues of any BTBR foster dog. In addition, VOLUNTEER completely releases, indemnifies, and entirely discharges BTBR, its volunteers, directors, officers, agents, and assignees from any and all claims and causes of action of negligence that VOLUNTEER or another might have or bring relating to or arising from any injury or damage that should be sustained while assisting BTBR or in connection with volunteer work for BTBR. If VOLUNTEER is driving a motor vehicle while performing volunteer duties for BTBR, VOLUNTEER confirms that he/she has a valid driver’s license, and passengers, cargo, and vehicle are covered by insurance. VOLUNTEER REPRESENTS THAT NO MEMBER OF VOLUNTEER'S HOUSEHOLD HAS EVER BEEN CHARGED WITH A MISDEMEANOR OR FELONY INVOLVING NEGLECT OR CRUELTY TO HUMANS OR ANIMALS HUMANS OR ANIMALS AND THAT VOLUNTEER HAS NEVER BEEN REFUSED BY ANY RESCUE OR ADOPTION AGENCY OR SHELTER OR SIMILAR ORGANIZATION FOR THE ADOPTION OF A DOG OR ANY OTHER ANIMAL. VOLUNTEER shall keep a copy of this contract and return the original to the BTBR Volunteer Coordinator.
